They say knowledge is power but where do you draw the line between useful information and random trivia most people don’t really care about? 10It Can Rain Diamonds
Believe it or not, there are places where it rains diamonds. No, really. But before you get too excited and start planning a road trip, you should know that it doesn’t happen on our planet. Diamond rain occurs on Jupiter and Saturn, mostly, a phenomenon that astronomers have observed on planets outside our solar system as well. On these planets, clouds of soot fall towards the planets’ surfaces, and as they do, pressure causes the soot to turn into granite and eventually into pure diamonds.
