Mostly found in shallow seas, dolphins aren’t necessarily picky eaters although their diet consists mainly of fish and squid.
We established what do dolphins eat but what about their habits, behavior, and special abilities? What exactly are the characteristics that make dolphins so amazing among all the other mammals on planet Earth? Join us over the next few minutes as we reveal some pretty interesting facts about some of our planet’s smartest creatures.
10Dolphins do not drink water

Although they live in (mostly salt) water throughout their lives, dolphins never drink any amount of water. You may be wondering how is it possible for a creature living in water not to drink any of it. Interestingly enough, dolphins are actually allergic to seawater, developing serious health conditions every time they accidentally drink any of the water around them. They do, however, consume water, by taking it from the fish and squid they eat thanks to their specially evolved stomach.
