The Guinness World Records Organization documents some of the most extraordinary accomplishments of individuals from around the world. It has become such a well-known medium for educating people about what heights the human condition can reach that all individuals who wish to show the world how much better they are at any given thing at any given time use it not only as a way to show off their ability, but also to gain worldwide recognition.
However, not all Guinness World Records are extraordinary accomplishments owed to discipline, courage, or a lifetime of training. Some Guinness World Records are absolutely ridiculous.
A good example is the record held by Puckel the guinea pig for the highest jump by a guinea pig. Another is the one held by Paul Hunn for the loudest burp. You see, Paul can produce a burp at 110 decibels, which is also not that impressive when you think about it, but apparently deserves a Guinness world record nevertheless. Without further ado, here are the dumbest Guinness World Records ever registered.
9Most people brushing their teeth simultaneously
Yes, this record actually exists. Manila, Philippines, is where this awkward and somewhat disturbing record originated. No less than 10,800 students decided to meet up in the city and brush their teeth simultaneously. The idea of over 10,000 people brushing their teeth simultaneously is not all that bad; the problem comes with the spit. The 10,800 students had to spit simultaneously for this record to be created.
