Also known as TB, Tuberculosis kills an estimated 900,000 people every year. This particular condition is caused by a strand of bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis which is an airborne disease that isn’t necessarily deadly if treated in time. This being said, some strains of TB are resistant to conventional treatments while some second-line drugs used to treat TB patients are themselves in short supply as well.
