While most of us are lucky enough to live in fairly spacious countries that allow us to take road trips every once in a while, there are some who live out their lives in very crowded countries. Because of crowding and overpopulation, people in these countries will rarely have the chance to get some privacy outside the comfort of their own homes. Not to say that overpopulation is necessarily the main reason for why these countries are so crowded to begin with, but it’s certainly one of the factors for some of them. Let us then find out what are the ten most densely populated countries on the planet.
The small island nation of Malta has a population of over 400,000 people crowded in a 1,282 per square kilometer population density. This densely populated nation is comprised of an archipelago of seven islands south of Italy in the Mediterranean Sea. What’s interesting is that Malta is a member of the European Union since 2004, which means that it is the most densely populated country in the EU.
