Ever since man crawled out of the slime, he has set his goals high, constantly looking to better himself through any means necessary.
Guided by arrogance, fear, or necessity, people have build some truly amazing structures over time, and we’ll keep on doing it as long as we have the means. In the following minutes, we will try to take a look at mankind’s most expensive projects, objects that will most likely live throughout the ages as evidence of our species’ might.
10Oresund Bridge – $6 Billion
This 7 km bridge is a twin-track railroad & four-lane highway across the Oresund strait. Completed in the year 2000, this enormous bridge connects Sweden and Denmark, acting as a direct route between Copenhagen and Malmo. Furthermore, this bridge also connects the Scandinavian highway network with those in Central Europe. The official name of the bridge is Oresundsbroen, Öresundsbron, but you won’t be able to pronounce it unless you are Scandinavian.
