10Statue of Zeus and Ganymede

Greeks had a fascination with the human body and how beautiful it is in its purest form. It is for this reason that most Greek sculptors in Ancient Greece spend their lives perfecting the ability to reproduce the human body to the best of their ability. This particular statue was found in Olympia and it is believed to have been made in 470 BC. It also has to be mentioned that the terracotta is painted which gives it a nice glow.
