American author, poet, and playwright L. Frank Baum is best known for creating ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, a literal masterpiece that inspired many adaptations throughout the years. He also published 55 novels, 82 short stories, and more than 200 poems in his lifetime, being one of the most accomplished writers in history. Apparently, Frank’s final words to his wife before his death were “Now I can cross the shifting sands”, referring of course, to the Land of Oz.
