8Musical Instruments – 50,000 BC
Based on archaeological discoveries, the first known music instruments were flutes. While flutes appeared in different forms in different locations around the world, most flutes shared a similar form and functionality. The earliest flute ever discovered is a three-hole flute made from a mammoth tusk and dates back to 37,000 years ago. Diggings also uncovered a fragment from the femur of a juvenile cave bear with two holes in it, a femur that may have been used as a flute around 43,000 years ago.
