10Standard Oil Co. Inc, 1905 – $550 billion
Established in 1870 in Ohio, Standard Oil was the largest oil refiner in the world at one point. The company was founded by none other than John D. Standard Oil was among the first and largest multinational corporations until it was dissolved in 1911 when the United States Supreme Court ruled that the company was an illegal monopoly.
