Most animals are majestic and beautiful, of course, yet some of them are also quite dangerous. We’ve been sitting atop of the food chain for so long that we often forget just how vulnerable we are, especially when it comes to our relationship with mother nature and the wildlings living in it. Sharks have a unique ability called electroreception. You see, sharks have specially evolved organs called Ampullae of Lorenzini in their head. When an animal moves, it generates a slight electrical field that sharks can easily detect. When you tread water, you look like lightning to a shark. A great white detects even half a billionth of a volt. If the shark is within 100 meters, it can also detect your heartbeat. Sharks also have rows of up to 300 sharp, serrated teeth and 4 feet wide jaws.
